LAN Party Budget

News Update: ACM has been approved to receive $75 in the form of a Low-Risk grant for our next LAN party on December 3rd. We should have no problem supplying enough food for all who attend. Thanks to Megan for bringing the Low-Risk application up in conversation.

At this week's meeting we talked about the great Movie night at Professor Shannon Pollard's house, and her most amazing "geek room".

The next LAN party looks like it will be Dec 3 after classes get out, and we are looking into getting a Rec Department grant for holding an alcohol-free event.

Shannon brought 3 dozen Krispy Kreme donuts and we ate every last one. Mmmm, mmmm good.

Welcome to the new ACM web site, now in blog format!

So far this semester, we've done the following things:

• Held 2 LAN parties - with food and advertising and everything! Second one was unequivocal success.
  
• Took 10 members on a trip to Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC for the annual CCSC conference. Participated in the Programming Contest and general merriment.
  
• Participate din Annual CS Department picnic at Prof. Conklin's house.
