Email confirmation for fragfest

Can someone volunteer to send out an email confirmation to all registered fragfesters with the TIME and PLACE on it? The teams are having a difficult time figuring out what time the event starts since it's nowhere on the f3 page and nowhere on this blog. (This is especially problematic for faculty since some must plan for babysitters, etc.) Also, can someone edit the f3 page to list the time AND place?!?

THE FRAG FEST STARTS AT 6PM and is on the 3rd floor of the DUKE building!

And here's the link to the registration page since that seemed to get lost. Also the elon.edu/f3 link no longer works. Argh.

Who ate the math pizza?

Ok, I have been informed by the math department that after their speaker yesterday, a bunch of CS people (including one described as a 'tall guy with blonde hair') went into the math talk and ate all the leftover pizza even though the math students weren't done with it yet.

Is this true, and if so, what would be an appropriate remedy to the math folks so they don't hate us? Remember, y'all take Calc and Discrete from them... you don't want them mad at you!!

--Free bags-o-powdered-donuts?
--Let them in on the Carpenter Lab crypto contest?
--Google plates at their next pizza event?
--Promise to design a great web site for them, then be sure to load it up with commercial images and links? (ha ha - nervous laughter - ok so maybe not that one)
--3 free t-shirts corresponding to each of the pizzas that we stole?
--We'll buy pizza at the next CS vs Math FragFest?

Your suggestions?

(keep the comments clean, after all, they're not really THAT mad, but it would be cool if we could show them a nice goodwill gesture...)

Award Winning ACM Ideas

Here is the web site devoted to the winners of the ACM annual chapter awards. Some interesting project ideas here. Check out the UTA web site.

F3 Update

Got some 'swag' from nVidia, but it turns out it's less than last time. Same poster, no sticky things, a couple tshirts, and stickers/ads. But it's free so all good.

We need to discuss tournament gameplay.

As far as Halo is concerned, how should we setup the tourney?

I'm not an expert, but here's what I figured (feel free to suggest corrections):
First to 50 Kills
Team Slayer
Map: Ascension
Default Weapons

As far as Unreal is concerned, it can be up to the profs or listed as below:
Map: Same as last time
Mode: Team CTF
...?
