More Minutes

Hello All!
Here are some more meeting minutes, served up hot and fresh!
  • Geocaching Rally - The math team punked out on me. The lamers. I'm going to email Dr. Beuerle and see if he wants to whip together a student team. So far, we have two definite ACM teams, a faculty team, and a supposed Physics team (I've heard rumors, but no confirmation - I'll email Crider). I'll keep emailing Duke until we get a positive or negative response.

  • Budget - Packets are due tomorrow. If you have anything terribly important for the budget packet, get it to me tonight, otherwise I'll use last year's as a model. Warren said that went over well.

  • T-Shirt. We have an ASCII Phlux! Hooray! I'm working on making Nathan's BF work, even though it won't compile. Oh well. I will be in contact with teeshirt printers this week to see about quality and price.

  • Integrate[4*F^3,{x}] - I have to get Clarke the date. As for games, we have decided on a WOW leveling tournament. The FPS will not be America's Army, as you have to beat the training dealy beforehand.

  • Project - Nathan proposed an acryllic-encased USB flash drive. This is a good idea. We could sell them, or, if they're cheap enough, give them away. Either way, I like it. If you have any other project ideas, contact me.
That's it, guys and dolls. If you missed the meeting, you missed Jeff putting his foot in his mouth, a lengthy discussion about server-side lag, and the fact that Megan doesn't want to come back to school at 22:00 on a Tuesday night again for some reason.

20 Feb Meeting Minutes

Hi everybody!
If you missed the Feb 20 meeting, here is what happened:

  • Geocaching Rally -- We decided on teams. If you aren't on a team and want to be, contact Chris Agocs

  • deKoenigsberg -- He is indeed interested in speaking with us, but hasn't responded to the email with the correct date yet.

  • BloodSugarSexMagik -- An excellent album.

  • Discuss the pronunciation of "Sudoku" -- We decided it was pronounced "Sudoku". Furthermore, the correct pronunciation for "char" is "char," and for "database," "database."

  • Jess arrived with donuts, thus completing her initiation into the club.

  • The Thing In Winston -- ACM Regional Conference. If you're interested in going, contact Chris Agocs. If we have interested parties, we can scrape together enough money for a few hotel rooms and food. It's supposed to be good this year.

  • Carpenter Lab -- We're trying to figure out what to put in Carpenter Lab. I heard a lot of good ideas, the best of which included new chairs and new keyboards. If you have any serious ideas, contact Joel or Clarke.

Yay!

Geocaching Rally!

If you've been attending the meetings, you know what the Geocaching Rally is. If not, then perhaps you should read this document (pdf) to find out.

I'm super excited about it, and I'll be using this blog (or else I'll come up with another blog - details to come) to make amendments and announcements regarding the Rally.
