Another meeting? God!

What up, ACMites?

So at the latest meeting, we discussed a number of things in a remarkably timely fashion.

LAN Party Games:
  • X-Box: Halo2 Tourney
  • Wii: Wii Bowling Tourney
  • PC: Escape from Castle Wolfenstein Tourney
  • Classic: Tetris, Mario Bros, Mario Kart tourneys
  • Guitar Hero at the Fonville plaza (in front of Duke)
If you have any suggestions, make them now.

T-Shirts
We voted on T-Shirt colors. The color will be grey. The front will read "Elon ACM", and the back "Can't Tux This" with a picture of Phlux.
Bylaws
We voted to amend the bylaws to cut the number of officers from four to two.

Officers
Jessie is our new president, and Ed is our new treasurer.

We need adverts for the LAN Party, Free as in Speech talk, and the Geocaching Rally

Spring Break, dudes!

Hello ACMites!

I hope you're all having a fantastic spring break. I know I am. I've practically been living on La Jolla beach with my Canadian girlfriend all week, tapping into the WiFi of the San Diego Supercomputing Center. I may decide not to return to North Carolina.

The previous paragraph contained multiple lies. Ten points to the first person to spot them all!

Anyway, taking a break from this fun-in-the-sun debauchery, here is a rundown of what the ACM has coming up soon.

  • April 13-14 - Geocaching Rally Redux
  • April 27th - Free as in Speech forum with Redhat man
  • April 28th - Faculty Frag Fest Four
I hope everybody gets to relax and come back to Elon ready for more ACM fun and excitement goodness.

More ACM Meting Nonsense

Hello Blogonians of the Blogosphere. Blogophile Agocs here to let you know what the shizzle izzle, yo.

  • The meeting opened with a quick recap of the Budget Hearing. It happened, Nathan's last name is now Shemonsky, and we are now the Agocs Completes Me club (typo, sorry).
  • Officer nominations occurred.

    • Prez: Ed
    • VP: Jessie
    • Trez: Funk
    • Secretary: Jake
    • Sergent at Arms: Also Funk

Take Spring Break to think about nominations and submit any more you may have. Voting will occur after spring break.

  • Stuff got ordered for the project, and the magnets shipped this afternoon.

  • nVidia is still a viable sponsor. Yay nVidia!

  • We discussed the T-Shirt for an overly long period of time, during which we shot down two ideas and designed a T-Shirt from scratch. Clarke whined a lot about the color Grey, so Chris will look into colors and prices and the like.

  • Megan said a number of funny things, including "I'm gonna pee" or something like that. A picture of Megan saying something else will be posted later, never you worry.

  • Shannon wants us to play a game. News at 11.

Well, that's about it. If you missed the meeting, you're a big lamer stinkyhead. Chris Out!

A reunião do Elon ACM

So the latest meeting just happened. Here is what we covered.

  • The geocaching rally will be pushed back to April 13 and 14th. The intense lameness of Math, Physics, and Duke ACM made Chris angry.
  • The Tee Shirt will be redesigned. Please bring new designs to the next ACM meeting.
  • We will be building shakey flashlights for our project. Chris already ordered parts. Awesome. E-Switch will not be sending us free stuff, but we're buying from them (their product through Mouser) because they're the cheapest anyway.
  • The F3^4 will be held on April 28th. Hopefully three events in one month will not cause a rift in the space-time continuum.
  • Megan likes cake.
  • Nude Business! Oh, also Blizzard and nVIDIA will not be sponsoring our LAN parties. Blizzard doesn't sponsor small events, and nVIDIA is ticked that we didn't send them pictures the day after.
