Ah, there's nothing quite like flirting with the Domino's Pizza girl for an itemized receipt. That being said, we are now entirely settled up with the SGA. Because transparency is good, here is where the money went.

We started with $808 + 120 slush.

Dues brought in a lot
First LAN Party spent more than that. $808 + about $110 slush
Sodas for Carp lab - $40 Slush
Money in from sodas + $20 (someone took sodas without paying!)
Posters from LAN Party - $105
Parts for Flashlights -$188
T-Shirts -$295
LAN Party +$305
LAN Party - $276.46
Because I said so +$168 moved from SGA to Slush
Perfectly legitimate means +$48 moved from SGA to Slush

This leaves us with about $8 in the SGA account, $20 in cash, a check for $21 (don't let me forget about this this time), and $216 in my bank account (don't let me forget to take this out).

Now, here's the fun part.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, on Reading Day Eve, the ACM is going out to dinner at Crazy Fire on Huffman Mill Rd (email cagocs@elon.edu if you don't know how to get there or need a ride). Remember that $216+$20+$21? Well, that's buying you dinner! Come on down for delicious good times.

Woot!
The F3^4 was, and I say this in all seriousness, an unmitigated success. L1 Cache was devastated in the Halo 2 Tourney by a group of pre-teen punks (who ended up winning first). Guitar Hero 2 rocked out loud by the fountain. Wolfenstein fizzled, but Wii Bowling was awesome.

Thanks go out to Clarke who got us 48 (OMG!) bottles of Bawls, to the faculty (Megan, Joel, Crider, and Beuerle) who showed up with their younguns, to everybody who brought game consoles, and to the ACM (duh) for funding this mofo.

Chris Agocs here with the ACM LAN Party Live Blog. I'm sitting at the check-in table with my laptop, Office 07 open, taking names and taking money.

Playing now we have Guitar Hero (volume cranked to annoy the promgoers outside), Wii Bowling tourney, Halo2 fun, and Wolfenstein fun times. MarioKart is also here and set up, and will be played when guitar Hero moves outside at 7.

The F3^4 commeth!

Elon ACM's semesterial Faculty Frag Fest LAN party will be held on Saturday, April 28th in the Duke building. We will have different games playing throughout the day. Admission is $7 per person, and is good for all the free food, swag, and games you could want.

Also, Guitar Hero will be playing by the Fonville Fountain from 7:00 on, on a big screen. That's free, and awesome. Rock your socks off!

Hey folks,
So, we had the shortest ACM meeting ever today. It was awesome. Also, two video guys showed up.

We discussed

LAN party
Clarke is doing lots of good work on grants. Right now we are looking at possible nVidia, ATI, Bawls, and RedOctane sponsorships, as well as a few others.
GeoCaching Rally has been cancelled due to the Programming Competition.
T-Shirts
Design has been finalized now we need to find an affordable printer.
Party at Shannon's - 6:30pm on April 20th at Shannon's place and will be wicked awesome.
Flashlight- Prep time is taking longer than anticipated, so bring your containers next week.
Bylaws were discussed at the Officer meeting. If you would like to have a copy of what is going to be changed, then please email Ed.

What up, ACMites?

So at the latest meeting, we discussed a number of things in a remarkably timely fashion.

LAN Party Games:

X-Box: Halo2 Tourney
Wii: Wii Bowling Tourney
PC: Escape from Castle Wolfenstein Tourney
Classic: Tetris, Mario Bros, Mario Kart tourneys
Guitar Hero at the Fonville plaza (in front of Duke)

If you have any suggestions, make them now.

T-Shirts
We voted on T-Shirt colors. The color will be grey. The front will read "Elon ACM", and the back "Can't Tux This" with a picture of Phlux.
Bylaws
We voted to amend the bylaws to cut the number of officers from four to two.

Jessie is our new president, and Ed is our new treasurer.

We need adverts for the LAN Party, Free as in Speech talk, and the Geocaching Rally
